Reporter Provides Update on Fan Who Got Into It With Caitlin Clark

Late into the first quarter of Game 2 between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun, rookie guard Caitlin Clark got into it with a fan just two rows away from the court.

After talking to the officials, Clark pointed out the supporter. The referees proceeded to speak to security, who escorted the fan to the side.

At first, it appeared that the fan was ejected from the game permanently, but according to Chloe Peterson of IndyStar Sports, that was not the case.

"The fan is back in his seat now after a discussion with arena security," Peterson wrote on X.

Although no word has been announced on what the fan actually told Clark, based on Fever forward NaLyssa Smith's reaction to it, it must have been pretty ugly.

Clark is coming off arguably her worst post-Olympic break performance in Game 1 on Sunday, where she scored just 11 points on 4-of-17 shooting and dished out eight assists. Indiana ended up with its biggest loss following the break as well, with the final score ending at 93-69.

With the Game 1 loss, the Fever find themselves in a must-win situation in Game 2. If they lose, we will see Clark's first season in the WNBA come to an end.
