Senior goalie Victoria Bodnar broke the program's single-game saves record after recording 26 in a historic night. </p><p>HOW IT HAPPENED </p><ul><li>Middlebury pulled away in the first half by scoring five goals, two coming in the first quarter that was followed by three to close out the half.</li><li>Early in the third, Skidmore's Colby Paul looked to put the Thoroughbreds on the scoreboard with a pair of consecutive shot attempts that were both saved by Middlebury's goalie.</li><li>In the 40th minute, the Panthers recorded their lone second half goal to go ahead 6-0.</li><li>The Thoroughbreds generated a penalty corner opportunity just before the end of the third, in the 44th minute, that resulted in an Erin Ohlenbusch shot on goal that was saved.</li></ul><p>STANDOUT THOROUGHBREDS </p><ul><li>Bodnar's record-breaking 26 saves saw her stop seven shots in the first, six in the second, 10 in the third, before recording the last four in the final frame</li><li>Senior CC Wetter recorded the Thoroughbred's final shot on goal in the fourth quarter</li></ul><p>The Thoroughbreds return home this Saturday for the Liberty League opener by hosting St. Lawrence at 2 PM.</p></div></body>
