(VVNG.com) — A woman was trapped in her vehicle following a t-bone traffic collision Wednesday morning in Hesperia.It happened at about 8:18 am, on September 25, 2024, at the intersection of Main Street and Key Point Drive.A woman driving a black Nissan Rogue traveling southbound when she was hit by a silver sedan that ran through the red light causing the SUV to go airborne and spin around several times.The male driver of the sedan briefly stopped before driving off at a high rate of speed.A Good Samaritan followed the suspect vehicle for several miles while on the phone with 911 dispatch until he could no longer safely follow the suspect vehicle.San Bernardino County Fire responded to the crash and used extrication tools to remove the woman from the Nissan. She was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Deputies conducting an area check located the suspect vehicle, a silver Honda with front end damage, traveling near Sheffield Street and Rock Springs Road. The suspect was eventually apprehended and arrested by deputies from the Hesperia Police Department. He was later identified as 32-year-old Antonio Jimenez, a resident of Hesperia.Sheriff’s officials said he was arrested, cited, and released.
