The incident occurred around 8:34 PM on 212th Street near 468th Avenue.</p><p>According to the Brookings County Sheriff's Office, Michael Siegel, 55, of Brookings, was riding westbound on 212th Street when a deer suddenly entered the roadway. The moped struck the deer, causing the driver to be ejected and the vehicle to flip.</p><p>Siegel was transported to the Brookings Emergency Room for treatment of unknown injuries. The damage to the 2007 Yamaha YP400 moped is estimated at $1,600.</p><p>The Brookings County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the accident.</p></div></body>
