The Indiana Fever fought hard to try and force a Game 3 against the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the WNBA playoffs. After the Sun crushed Fever 93-69 in Game 1, Indiana made things incredibly competitive in Game 2.

Fever guard Caitlin Clark put up a team-high 25 points with 9.0 assists and forced multiple lead changes, but it wasn't enough. With Sun star Alyssa Thomas scoring 19 points with 13 assists and Marina Mabrey putting up 17 points with 6.0 assists, Connecticut defeated Indiana 87-81.

While the Sun moves on to the semifinals, the Fever go home, and they let everyone know with a simple, but perfectly savage message.

The Sun posted, "… moving on" with the manicure emoji, indicating that it was a nonchalant occasion. The graphic merely read, "Anyways...."

Connecticut earned the right to gloat after sweeping the Fever and their fans loved it.  One person replied , "The nails emoji is *chefs kiss*." Another fan wrote , "Here for the petty! Let’s go SUN!"

The post also earned a lot of vitriol, as some "fans" claimed no one will watch the playoffs now that Clark is out. Other people thanked the Sun for eliminating Indiana, as they no longer have to deal with a section of particular "fans."

Thomas told reporters after the game, "In my 11 year career, I've never experience racial comments (like) that from the Indiana Fever fan base."

"We've been professional throughout the whole entire thing, but I've never been called the things I've been called on social media, and there's not place for it. Basketball is headed in a great direction, but we don't want fans that are going to degrade us and call us racial things."
