Additionally, guests will have the unique opportunity to enjoy an evening on the floor of Bartow Arena to shoot hoops and meet some of their favorite players up close.Tickets will go for $20 each and will include food and a t-shirt. Secure your spot before the October 20, 2024, deadline by purchasing your tickets here.UAB men's basketball returns to action in 2024-25 after capturing the American Conference Tournament title in the program's debut season in the league and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the second time under Andy Kennedy. Reigning AAC Defensive Player of the Year Yaxel Lendeborg is back for his second season in the green and gold after a breakout year in 2023-24, averaging 13.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.1 blocks per game.The Blazers open the season on November 4 at home against Vermont. UAB will play nine home games during the non-conference slate.The women's basketball program returns nine players from last season's roster, including Tracey Bershers, Sara Bershers, Ashton Elley, Molly Moffitt, Valentina Monzo, Maddie Walsh, Desiree Ware, Jade Weathersby and Genevive Wedemeyer. In the offseason, Norton added Miyah Barnes and Trista Magee Whitman to the staff. Both Barnes and Whitman played for Norton at UAB from 2016-20 and 2017-20.Head Coach Randy Norton will begin his 12th season at the helm for the Blazers on Nov. 4 against West Alabama in Bartow Arena. The Blazers are slated to play 12 non-conference games, including five in Bartow Arena, and one exhibition.2024-25 MEN'S BASKETBALL SEASON TICKETSSeason tickets for the 2024-25 UAB men's basketball season are now available.
