New installment to be added to mural wall

Downtown Fremont Inc. is also in the process of creating another installment of the River Wall Mural near the railroad tracks by the State Street Bridge heading east.

This mural is a continuation of a Public Arts Program created as a long-term community initiative. This River Wall Mural is 24 feet long by 5 foot 8 inches high.

“Feeding Squirrels at Spiegel Grove” is by Deanna Hoover. Hoover is a mother of six children and has one granddaughter.

The inspiration for her design came from her love of Spiegel Grove, with its landscapes, trees and rich history.

All proceeds from the Public Arts Program in Downtown Fremont go toward the River Wall Mural Project.

The festival is sponsored by Terra State Community College.
