Eduardo Xol passes away at 58, claims report

Eduardo Xol sadly passed away at the age of 58 on Thursday. He was reportedly stabbed to death in an apartment in Palm Springs, California. Authorities told People that they received a call from Xol asking for help on September 10. Upon arriving at the crime scene, they discovered multiple stab wounds on Xol. He was then rushed to the Desert Regional Medical Center but didn’t survive.

His family released a public statement confirming his death news. It reads, “We are heartbroken at the tragic loss of our beloved Eduardo Xol. As his family, we know that his kindness has touched the lives of so many. We ask for that kindness returned now allowing our privacy to be respected as we process our grief.”

A man named Richard Joseph Gonzales was initially taken into custody for attempted murder charges in Xol’s case. Gonzales had reportedly contacted the police officials later that morning, saying he was attacked the night before. Due to his presence at the crime scene, he was arrested and likely considered a suspect. After Xol’s demise, the murder charges on Gonzales were also accepted by the district attorney’s office.

The police claim that the pair were likely “associates.” However, the nature of their relationship remains unclear. Gonzales is currently held in custody at Riverside County without bail.
