Photo by Christine Schuster | Bring Me The News.</figcaption></figure>Commissioned and privately funded by the McGuire Family Foundation, the sculpture depicts the emblem of the Minnesota United soccer team and also – to many in the community – represents the start of brighter days ahead for the troubled superblock.The longtime McDonald's near the sculpture is set to close permanently in December as Dr. Bill McGuire, owner of the Minnesota United, moves ahead with the next phase of the ongoing United Village redevelopment, which included the construction of Allianz Field.McGuire next plans to build a hotel with two restaurants in the area.</div></body>
