SHENANDOAH, Va. - Women's soccer was defeated 2-0 by Shenandoah in Wednesday night's match. Brenna Ellenberger (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) made seven saves. Shenandoah started their attack early, taking eight shots in just fifteen minutes. The Hornets' aggression finally paid off at 19' when Lauren Duffy scored to go up 1-0. Ellenberger made a pair of saves heading into the break. After halftime, McKenna Newcome came out of the gate to score at 52' and extend Shenandoah's lead to 2-0 in the process. Madison Sheffield (Frederick, Md./Urbana) took Hood's lone shot, but it didn't find the back of the net. The Hornet's held off the Blazers and sealed their victory 2-0.
