(Oakland, IA) — In volleyball, the Western Iowa Conference is crowded at the top with four undefeated teams in conference play. One of those teams will fall from first place tonight as Tri-Center visits #3 Riverside, coverage on 96.5 FM KSOM.

The other two teams Treynor and Missouri Valley are playing each other tonight so 4 will actually be cut to 2. In terms of Riverside, the Bulldogs have only tasted one defeat this season and featured a balanced offensive attack, a strong defense and a service game that is 93 percent efficient. Bulldogs Head Coach Brooke Flathers has seen a number of players improve throughout the year starting with Ayla Richardson

Traditionally, a team’s setter will not have many kills but Riverside is the exception — Junior Bentley Rone leads the team with 199 assists and she also is 3rd on the team in kills with 94. Flathers says she means so much to this team in different ways

Riverside faces a Tri Center team that will spread the wealth around on offense — Junior Harlie Leaders leads with 130 kills, Sophomore Tess Casey has 112 kills, Senior Isah VanArsdol has 85 and Avilyn Killpack chips in 82 kills. Flathers knows her team is facing a solid opponent

Tri Center, 14-8, visits Riverside 18-1. Game time is at 7:30 pm, coverage on 96.5 FM KSOM and westerniowatdoday.com
