(7News) — A man is dead after a pedestrian-vehicle hit-and-run crash that closed a portion of southbound lanes on Route 1 in Fairfax County Thursday morning, according to Fairfax County police officials.</p><p>The incident happened at Route 1 and Woodlawn Trail in Fort Hunt, and officers said the man, a pedestrian, was declared dead at the scene when officers arrived, according to Fairfax County police at around 7:10 a.m.</p><p>The driver fled the scene before police arrived, officials said.</p><p>All southbound lanes are closed in the area with vehicles being diverted to Belvoir Drive as police investigate.
