The county, though, did see a decrease in the number of those employed by 100 to 20,600. Neighboring Tompkins County saw an increase in the unemployment rate with August ‘24 having a 3.9% unemployment rate; August ‘23 had 3.6%. The total number of those employed in Tompkins County also decreased by 1,300 to 45,200.</p></div></body>
