    Double S Alpaca open house

    Double S Alpaca welcomes visitors to its annual Open House, to visit its alpacas and learn about them on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to celebrate National Alpaca Farm Days.

    The farm had eight babies born already this year.

    The farm’s alpaca store, The Alpaca Shacka, will be open. Saigon Delicious will be on property for you to purchase lunch. The farm is located at 34022 Nacre Street NW in Princeton.

    Milaca Friends of the Library book sale

    The Milaca Friends of the Library are hosting a book sale starting Tuesday, Oct. 1 — Oct. 4 during the library’s business hours. The Milaca Community Library is located at 235 First St. E.

    Author visit to the Milaca library

    Visit the Milaca Community Library for a visit from local author Candance Simar. History comes alive on the pages of her historical novels. Candace has received awards from the Western Writers of America, Will Rogers Medallions, Western Fictioneers, Midwest Book Awards, and Women Writing the West. Simar will visit the library on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 6 — 7 p.m. The Milaca Community Library is located at 235 First St. E.

    Connections Memory Cafe

    Join us at Connections Memory Cafe Thursday, Oct 3. Barry Schreiber from the Mille Lacs County Historical Society will be present to tell stories of the past.

    The Memory Cafe is for people with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory loss diseases to share a fun time with their care partner and others. It provides an opportunity to connect with others dealing with similar issues. It meets the first Thursday of each month at the Princeton Civic Center, 503 N. Ninth St., from 10 -11 a.m. Refreshments are served and smiles are

    guaranteed. No reservations or cost. Care partner must attend. Questions: 763-290-2228.

    Art show at the Princeton library

    Artist Virginia Garbacz’s art is returning to the Princeton Area Library until the end of September for patrons to view and enjoy. Garbacz’s art comes in a variety of formats and mediums that is such to appeal to everyone. Art will be on display during regular business hours. The Pricneton Area Library is located at 100 Fourth Avenue South.

    Marlyn Wolbert’s 90th birthday

    Come celebrate Marylyn Wolbert’s 90th birthday and 70 years at Hi-way Auto Sales in Milaca from 3 — 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. The party will take place at the Milaca Alliance Church at 12543 Highway 23 in Milaca. Please come sign the guest book, no gift required. Your presence is a gift!

    Alpha and Omega Fall Festival

    Alpha and Omega Farm is excited to invite you to its Fall Festival every weekend in October!. Starting Oct. 5, the farm will be celebrating the season with fun, food, and activities for all ages. The event will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

    Festival highlights include wood-fired pizzas, hay rides, pumpkins, live music, and crafting classes. Some new additions this year include two "glamping" sites, Granny's Mini Donut trailer, and goat yoga for kids.

    Eternity Church 40 year celebration

    Princeton's Eternity Church is celebrating 40 years of ministry at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29. Eternity Church began as First Love Fellowship at Princeton, Minnesota, in September 1984. It was founded and is still pastored by native Minnesotans, Philip and Donna Larson.
