Playing in his second collegiate tournament, true freshman Jordan Kish finished tied for 29th to pace the Penguins on the individual leaderboard. The Massillon, Ohio, native recorded a three-round score of 215 (73-71-71).The tournament field at the Virtues Intercollegiate will feature players from 16 other schools including Belmont, Bowling Green, Butler, Dayton, Eastern Michigan, James Madison, Kent State, Longwood, Marshall, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio, Robert Morris, St. Bonaventure and Wright State.The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday in the two-day, 54-hole event. Saturday's first round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. with continuous play through the second round. Sunday's final session will also commence with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The course will play approximately 7,243 yards and par is 72. Live scoring will be available via ScoreboardLive through links posted on YSUsports.com.Head Coach Tony Joy has announced that YSU's five-player lineup at the Virtues Intercollegiate will feature Jacob Sylak, Ryan Sam, Jake Ryan, Nolan Shilling and Kish.Following the Virtues Intercollegiate, the Penguins will participate in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State on Monday and Tuesday at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley, Ohio.The tournament field at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational will feature eight other schools including Chicago State, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, IU Indianapolis, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Saint Francis and Walsh.The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday in the two-day, 54-hole event.
