Highlands school students are learning remotely again today after another threat.

According to officials on the district’s Facebook page. Superintendent Monique Mawhinney states she was notified late Wednesday evening by Harrison police about another threat made to the district.

The threat is determined to be unfounded and out of an abundance of caution, the district will transition to remote learning.

She said, in part, "this decision was made in consideration of the threats made these past two days and the impact they may have on our students' mental health."

Harrison police charged a juvenile in connection with threats made to the district on Tuesday.
