(WLOS) — Brother Wolf Animal Rescue (BWAR) in Asheville put out an urgent call to the community to foster animals this weekend after the organization was forced to evacuate its Glendale Avenue facility on Thursday due to flooding.</p><div style="position:relative;width:100%; height:0; padding-bottom: 56.25%;"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iN8oVI2ZDN0?enablejsapi=1&version=3&playerapiid=ytplayer" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:100%;top:0; left:0; position:absolute"></iframe></div><p>In particular, Brother Wolf leaders are looking for people willing to foster 75 cats in their care.</p><p>Executive Director Leah Craig Chumbley says foster families should plan to house animals until possibly as long as next Tuesday.</p><p>"Our hearts are heavy for everyone affected by Hurricane Helene. We know that with the help of our community, we can keep our animals safe through this disaster," Chumbley said in a written statement. "We are deeply grateful for any support during this difficult time."</p><h2>How to help:</h2><p>If you'd like to be an emergency foster for a BWAR rescue,email friends@bwar.org. The rescue provides all necessary supplies, including food, bedding, and medical support. </p><p>Financial contributions can be made directly atbwar.org.</p><p>Supply donations of essential items, like towels, travel crates, leashes, harnesses, and blankets are all helpful at this time.</p></div></body>
