IUP then lost to Clarion in the Atlantic Regional championship match.Coach Matt Darling's Gannon team comes into the match with a 7-5 overall record after going 2-2 at the Atlantic Region Crossover in West Virginia. The Knights went 1-1 in matches at Wheeling University on Thursday and Friday before going 1-1 in two matches at West Liberty University on Saturday.IUP is 10-4 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC West after dropping a five-set match to Seton Hill this week. Gannon will visit Seton Hill on Saturday at noon. The Griffins are off to an outstanding start with an 11-1 record.One of the memorable moments from the trip occurred when Emma Hall (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) became Gannon's all-time digs leader as she passed Taryn Graham, who had 2,003 digs from 2011-14. Hall, a senior libero, now has 2,059 digs as she will build on her record throughout the season. She was named PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week.Gannon will play its PSAC West opener, but IUP already has played one match. That included a career-high 62 assists in a five-set win over Fairmont State on Friday.Senior right side Hailey Koch (Littleton, Col./Dakota Ridge): She had a huge match against Fairmont State, recording career-highs of 25 kills and 26.5 points. She averaged 14.5 kills in four matches in the Atlantic Region Crossover.Sophomore outside hitter Carissa Treser (Sewickley, Pa./North Allegheny): She averaged more than 12 kills per match in the Atlantic Region Crossover. That total included a career-high 19 kills against Fairmont State. She also had a career-high 19 kills in that match.Scouting IUP: Senior right side Nyla Birch leads IUP with 126 kills. Redshirt senior middle hitter Lauren Valentic already has 63 total blocks.Parking Reminders at the Hagerty Family Events Center (HFEC)General parking is available in both the upper and lower parking lots on Walnut Street, on the east side of HFEC. Please refrain from parking along Walnut Street, in the circle, and anywhere there are signs or markings that state NO PARKING. These areas for bus parking ONLY, and cars need to pass through for student drop-off and access to the parking lots. Students should be dropped off and picked up on Walnut Street.The Cherry Street parking lot is for handicap parking ONLY. All cars that park in this lot must have a handicap plate or placard. Students are not to be dropped off or picked up in this parking lot.Overflow parking is located on West 12th and Poplar streets, with access just west of HFEC. There is a bridge that crosses over Cherry Street to get inside the Hagerty Family Events Center.In the case that the Walnut Street and Poplar Street parking lots are full, you can park in the student parking lot located at West 11th and Chestnut streets.If you are parking in the Walnut Street parking lots, it is recommended that you exit through the upper Poplar Street parking lot and go to the light at West 12th and Chestnut streets for a safe exit from HFEC. Parking is prohibited at FBO Fitness, U-Haul Storage, or any other businesses around HFEC.
