He got the opportunity after Russaw got hurt against the Badgers.The 6-foot-3, 239-pounder has three tackles and two pass breakups this season.Freddie Roach, Alabama’s defensive line coach, sees Pierre rising in his development.“He has done well,” Roach said Wednesday about Pierre. “He has gained weight, he’s playing physical at the point of contact, and he has unbelievable pass rush ability. “And seeing him grow up … that’s the thing about being here, and any college actually, you see kids come in and they start developing into being good players and time flies when that happens for some reason. … But, he has done a really good job. He has grown up. He has matured.
