    No such thing as the child must of got out when the mom was going to work!!Let’s be for real…Who in their right mind not know if they kid is up prior to you leaving home and not have any contact..He or she will ask for something ( food )Anything

    kids like to sneak out and run! it's common!! had to get a locking baby gate because my kid is obsessed with the door. kids don't listen. gotta take extra measures to keep kids safe, like locking gate and locks that are higher up the door like chain locking deadbolts. Don't ever trust a child to follow house rules. they do what they want when they want. people are quick to blame parents but kids do stupid stuff all the time, some kids are behavioraly alot more difficult than others, and parents are blind to what children are capable of! never give child benefit of doubt and trust, children can't ever be trusted to do the right thing. it's a parents job to know this or be prepared to learn the hard way!! lesson learned! get a locking baby gate to block off hallway area near door and install chain deadbolts/sliding deadbolts higher up the door.
