<body><div><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=3OuOMv_0vkj6EYM00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=3OuOMv_0vkj6EYM00" width="1320" height="743" >PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WCHS) — A Portsmouth, Ohio, man accused of threatening his stepson and allegedly shooting a deputy was indicted by a grand jury Thursday.Michael Bishop, 39, on nearly a dozen charges stemming from an incident Sept. 14 after a deputy responding to a 911 report of Bishop allegedly threatening his stepson with a firearm was shot along Liberty Avenue, according to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.Bishop had fled the area by the time additional law enforcement arrived on scene, but was later located by deputies and taken into custody at a local ballpark.The Portsmouth man was indicted on charges of attempted murder, attempted aggravated murder, two counts of felonious assault, discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises, three counts of having weapons under a disability, tampering with evidence, inducing panic and obstructing official business.The deputy who was injured in the incident was flown to a Columbus hospital where he was treated and released.</div></body>
