Eureka, CA – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Eureka forecasts a return to dry weather and rising temperatures across Northern California's interior, with the potential for hotter conditions early next week.

Today, inland areas are expected to see temperatures between 85-91°F as surface high pressure builds back in after a passing trough. Coastal areas will experience patchy fog and low clouds in the mornings, but these are expected to clear with daytime heating.

By Friday, temperatures will rise significantly, with the NWS predicting a 70% chance that areas like southern Mendocino County could reach 100°F. Interior valleys could see widespread highs in the lower to mid-90s. Heat risk is expected to increase to moderate levels in the interior.

While a weak trough over the weekend may slightly lower temperatures, conditions will remain warm and above normal. Next week, a ridge of high pressure is forecast to bring another round of hot weather, with interior areas likely to experience anomalous warming. Coastal temperatures could rise into the low to mid-70s due to offshore winds, but marine air may moderate the heat.
