Ahead of the unique co-ed match-play tournament, the Chippewas are hosting a college-am tournament at the storied Birmingham C.C. on Sunday, Oct. 13.Fans, supporters and the general public are invited to participate in the best-ball format 18-hole event. Each team will consist of two college players, members of the four teams who will play in the matchup, and two amateur partners.The handicapped college-am will be scored by taking the two best net scores on each hole for each team.Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Oakland and Green Bay comprise the Motor City Matchup field.Sunday's college-am tournament is set to begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Check-in is set for 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be provided with a dinner immediately following the tournament.Spots in the college-am tournament are limited to the first 48 registered participants.
