In 2021, 6,392 veterans died by suicide, representing an increase of 114 suicides from 2020. Social isolation, often a consequence of this transition, can lead to feelings of disconnection and loneliness, which can be especially challenging for veterans and their families.“Events like these play a pivotal role in dismantling the barriers that often prevent veterans and their families from seeking help.
