Interesting. Brohm wasn’t required to post a bond before mining? Bankruptcy should never be an issue with a mining Company, particularly when it’s used to avoid responsibility. Amending said bond to reflect increases in liability with the maturity of the operation and its expansion, would be required and agreed to, prior to the first shovel full of ground being moved. The BLM and many states require a surface management bond on all so-called “3809 notices and plans of operation,” which are those governed by the 43 CFR Subpart 3809. The reason I say it’s interesting? because SD fails to hold those who violate the peoples trust, destroy the peace and quiet, the land and water, pump it full of toxic chemicals, then cut and run, laughing all the way to the bank. It’s insulting to SD’s residents, not only to their health and well being but to the freedom to live a life absent, Chemical poisoning. What’s most unforgivable is Brohm isn’t the only turd poisoning our punch bowl.
