The Washington Commanders, behind the emergence of No. 2 overall draft pick Jayden Daniels, have not punted in two consecutive games entering Week 4.

That includes their thrilling 38-33 "Monday Night Football" victory in Cincinnati over Joe Burrow and the Bengals. The 23-year-old Daniels had his best showing to date, registering a career-best 91.3% completion percentage, 254 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air, plus a third score with his legs.

On Thursday, the Commanders revealed that Daniels was named the NFL's Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie the Week for Week 3.

It marked the second time the former LSU star has won the award in his first three weeks as a pro.

Daniels secured Rookie of the Week honors for his Week 1 debut performance despite Washington losing 37-20 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road.

The rookie signal-caller finished that game completing 17-of-24 passes for 184 yards, but added 88 yards and two touchdowns on 16 rushing attempts.

Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has worked well with Daniels early on, allowing the rookie to make high-efficiency plays. Daniels has yet to throw an interception and is completing 80.3 of his pass attempts.

His Week 4 opponent, the Arizona Cardinals, have been middle-of-the-pack on defense through three games. They've allowed 21.3 points and 323.3 total yards on average.

JD Daniels better known as TD Daniels and if anyone don't understand the acronym it's touchdown Daniels who has won rookie of the week with his athletic skills. You have truly been anointed the CEO and President to commander and chief of a unique team that I believed you can possibly take the NFL by storm.
