<body><div>SHAWNEE, Okla. — Crews from here in Green Country are headed to Georgia to help with disaster recovery on Thursday.Hurricane Helene, now a category three hurricane, hit Florida on Thursday and is now also affecting Georgia.FOX23 was there as nearly 100 OG&amp;E line crews were deployed from Shawnee.A total of 99 line restoration crew members from OG&amp;E left for Georgia to help restore power.<figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=0cDhUu_0vkw9uj600" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0cDhUu_0vkw9uj600" width="1662" height="1247" ></figure>Chad Guthrie, Director of Distribution Construction, said they're always ready to go help wherever they’re needed when natural disasters like these strike."What we're seeing here today is nothing new for us here at OG&amp;E or our partners in the industry, we belong to a mutual assistance group and there are companies all over the country that help support one another during these types of events,” he said.Guthrie said his crew will be heading to Atlanta but will be given orders from Georgia Power to relocate to wherever they're needed."You know, with Georgia Power’s keeping a watchful eye on the event that's taken place, and they will continually monitor what areas our crews, our teams need to go, what areas they have the destruction and the amount,” he said.OG&amp;E's crews are made up of people with different skill levels and ages, but that's not stopping them from impacting lives."There's going to be individuals from all over our company footprint, but they come together as one no matter who you are, where you are and in line,” Guthrie said. “We're our brother’s keeper and that's what we always say, taking care of one another, watching out and helping guide one another, you know?"OG&amp;E also sent several crews to Florida on Wednesday to help with recovery efforts there.Both crews in Florida and Georgia will stay for at least two weeks, but if more help is needed, they'll stay longer.</div></body>
