Loudoun Now</figcaption></figure>The case of a 22-year-old man charged with making threats in the Loudoun County Public Defender’s Office is advancing to a grand jury following a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon.According to the report, Riley Biro broke through a locked door at the office looking for an employee and saying she would be going to heaven and that “it won’t be an open casket.”Biro then entered the District Courthouse nearby on Church Street where he was detained by Sheriff’s Office deputies.He was initially charged with felony burglary with intent to commit murder and felony destruction of property, but only the burglary charge will be advancing to the Grand Jury after the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office opted not to prosecute the destruction of property charge. If convicted, Biro faces a sentence of five to 20 years in prison.The grand jury will consider the case when it convenes Nov. 7.Court records show Biro previously has been charged with making threats, assaulting a corrections officer, and violating terms of protective orders and probation. In March, he was convicted of using profane, threatening or obscene language over public airwaves, a misdemeanor, and sentenced to 12 months in jail. That conviction was appealed to Circuit Court. In July, he was released on bond pending a Dec. 9 jury trial.</div></body>
