The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers have released their second injury reports ahead of their Week 4 tilt on Sunday afternoon.
After a clean injury report to start the week , the Chiefs were missing a starter on the defensive side of the ball on Thursday. It's not ideal as this position group is one where the depth for Kansas City has already been tested. They also saw another defensive player added to the report, bringing their total number of players on the injury report up to six.
Here's a look at the current injury situation for both teams. . .
Second Chiefs Injury Report
Player | Injury | Wednesday | Thursday |
---|
DE Mike Danna | Calf | - | DNP |
LB Nick Bolton | Back | FP | FP |
DT Derrick Nnadi | Triceps | FP | FP |
WR Rashee Rice | Ankle | FP | FP |
CB Jaylen Watson | Shoulder | FP | FP |
S Chamarri Conner | Heel | - | FP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Notes & observations:
- Danna was spotted on the sidelines without a helmet during the portion of practice open to media members.
- Danna was listed on the Week 2 injury report against the Bengals with a quad injury. He has dealt with past calf injuries, including during training camp in 2023 .
- Danna's performance this season hasn't been stellar compared to years past. It might suggest that he's been playing through injury.
- An absence in Week 4 could mean a larger role for DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah. The former first-round draft pick stood out in the Week 3 win over the Falcons .
- The Chiefs could also rely on trade acquisition Cameron Thomas . DC Steve Spagnuolo said he was getting closer to being able to contribute just last week.
- Conner being listed as a full participant with a heel injury suggests his injury is minor.

- The most notable upgrade is OT Trey Pipkins, who filled in at right tackle during practice.
- The most notable downgrade is Derius Davis, who is the team's starting punt and kick returner.
- Stone Smartt was added to the injury report with a finger injury, but listed as a full participant. That typically means no cause for concern.
