I am a pedestrian and driver. Pedestrians jaywalk, don't look both ways and most of the time on their cell phones and not paying attention. As a driver, I've had my share of close calls because pedestrians don't pay attention. As a pedestrian, I see so many examples of pedestrians not paying attention while on cell phones, walking their dogs, kids etc. not paying attention to signals for pedestrian, jaywalking because apparently it's legal?? Crossing against green pedestrian signal light and most of all almost causing serious accidents due to running for the bus. That's where I have had close misses. people running for MUNI as if it's the last one!!
