As a Black man I am conflicted with this decision and how it unfolded. I am also a Retired Army Officer as well while both is where my heart rest there is not another Black athlete that’s responsible for opening so many doors for Black athletes hands down. We can always find another field to Honor the Great Jackie Robinson but we need to find satisfactory housing for our Veterans in need immediately which help them find there way back into society as they have earned that right based on their sacrifices to this country. Jackie Robinson will always be in our hearts just maybe no in fact Jackie has also earned the right to have at least some portion of the building named after him as well especially since he was a US Army Veteran as well this will be the perfect solution for us all.
