The Livingston Police Department is hosting its inaugural Community Block Party on Sunday, September29 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Oval. This free community event will feature food and soft drinks, rides, carnival games, giveaways, balloon twisting, face painting, and exciting law enforcement displays from municipal, state and federal agencies. There will also be police and other emergency vehicles on display, helicopter landings, K9 units, and Essex County prosecutor Theodore Stevens, and an appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog. The event is meant to foster stronger ties between neighbors and law enforcement, building a true sense of community.
