    Wilkes-Barre City Health Department offers free flu vaccine clinics

    The Wilkes-Barre City Health Department will host free flu vaccine clinics in October for city residents, according to Mayor George Brown’s office.

    Residents must provide proof of residency.

    Quadrivalent influenza vaccine, designed to protect against four different flu viruses, will be available for anyone 6 months of age and older. The High-Dose flu vaccine is available for those who are 65-plus years old.

    Full Schedule:

    Friday, Oct. 4: from 4 to 7 p.m. — Drive Through at Kirby Health Center, 71 N. Franklin St.

    Saturday, Oct. 5: from 9 a.m. to noon — Drive Through at Kirby Health Center, 71 N. Franklin St.

    Thursday, Oct. 10: from 2 to 6 p.m. — Hollenback Fire Station, 1020 N. Washington St.

    Saturday, Oct. 19: from 1 to 3 p.m. — St. Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, 905 S. Main St.

    Monday, Oct. 21: from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Charles T. Adams Active Adult Center, 1 E. Market St.

    Monday, Oct. 28: from 3 to 6 p.m. — First Assembly of God, 424 Stanton St.
