WATCH: Officer adopts kitten following roadway rescue

ROCHESTER, Michigan (KMID/KPEJ) – A police officer’s day took an unexpected turn when he found a distressed kitten on a roadway and chose to give the furry little friend a home.

Footage from Rochester Police showed the kitten walking in the middle of the road as an officer stops traffic and exits the car to save it.

“Officer Flanigan is going to adopt her any name suggestions?” Rochester Police wrote. The name Lucky appeared to be a popular early choice from commenters.
