    CCSO: Man brings knife to BISD elementary open house

    BROWNSVILLE, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A man was arrested for allegedly bringing a knife to a Brownsville Independent School District elementary school during an open house event, authorities say.

    Juan Antonio Duque was charged with carrying a weapon where possession is prohibited, according to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.

    On Tuesday, Ortiz Elementary hosted an open house event, when a man, later identified as Duque, showed up to meet a family.

    Brownsville ISD Chief Oscar Garcia told ValleyCentral Duque had a backpack, and while there, the knife fell out of it.

    Chief Garcia added the size of the weapon was similar to a large kitchen knife.

    Teen charged with resisting arrest after alleged fight

    An officer removed his gun from his holster when he approached the suspect.

    The man was booked into the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center and was issued a bond of $20,000.

    I always carry a pocket knife back in the day all FFA carried buck knifes just keep it out of site dam people are so sensitive the shit there teaching in some schools is more terrifying give me a fn break .
