    Prosser's Wine Valley Inn damaged after water heater explodes

    PROSSER, Wash. -- A small explosion at the Wine Valley Inn in Prosser left the building with major damage.

    The explosion happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday night on the 1200 block of Wine Country Road.

    Firefighters from West Benton and Rescue said a faulty water heater exploded and damaged the roof and other parts of the building.

    At this time, the area is closed to the public and there is no known date for reopening.

    The cost of the damage is not yet known.
