TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Torrington police say at least $500 was reported missing from St. Maron’s Church’s donation collection this week.

Police were dispatched to the church at 613 Main St. on Tuesday morning for the larceny complaint.

On scene, they were told donation money collected during weekend services was missing. No sign of forced entry was found in the building.

The church wasn’t sure exactly how much was missing, but estimated it was between $500 or $1,000, if not more.

Anyone with information relevant to this case is asked to contact Ofc. Arvelo at 860-489-2068.

how it's a real shame if you call there and ask him for any kind of help whatsoever but they got money that much money stolen well I called her and see if I can get a little help one day and there's nothing they can do they said if you go there they'll give you a little bag of groceries that's not good even considered real food so why would I give a shit about what happened to them but it's still a disgrace that people steal from churches and God will get them back for being thieves sounds like an inside job to me don't you think
