Miami Police Department hosts mental wellness fair to support officers

MIAMI, Florida — The Miami Police Department's Peer Support Team hosted a Mental Wellness Fair yesterday in the downtown station's lobby.The event facilitated friendly interactions with employees throughout the morning and provided free information on mental wellness and suicide prevention. Local businesses also participated, showing their support for the initiative.Today, on National Law Enforcement Suicide Awareness Day, the department stands together to raise awareness, offer support, and remind officers that they are never alone. "Your mental health matters," stated the Miami Police Department. The department expressed gratitude to all who joined the event.
