Haley Gschrey and Alexis Garcia found the back of the net, for Garcia, it marks the first goal of her career.</p><p><b>HOW IT HAPPENED</b></p><ul><li>After a slow start, Justyce Hollenbach fired a shot on goal in the 12th minute that was saved by the Davidson goalie.</li><li>La Salle got the go-ahead goal two minutes later from Gschrey.</li><li>Hollenbach fired two more shots on goal in a span of three minutes right after Gschrey's tally, but both were denied.</li><li>The Explorers' keeper, Michela Auguadro, stepped up in the 28th minute with a save to keep the lead.</li><li>Sunni DiElmo had a shot low on goal in the 32nd minute that was also smothered by the keeper.</li><li>Garcia would add to La Salle's lead in the last minute of the first half. Bri Lewis and Kate Loncar set up the play, and Garcia's finish made it 2-0.</li><li>Ricshya would try to make it 3-0 in the 52nd minute, but her attempt was saved.</li><li>Attempts from DiElmo and Gschrey in the 62nd and 75th minutes would also land on goal but neither could find the back of the net.</li><li>In the final five minutes, Davidson would try to get the score within one, but Auguadro made saves on two successive shot attempts in the 85th and 86th minutes to make the 2-0 score final.</li></ul><p><b>GAME NOTES</b></p><ul><li>Gschrey, who led the team in shots with five, scored her team-leading seventh goal in the 14th minute.</li><li>The team had a total of 20 shots, with five Explorers recording at least three shots.</li><li>Auguadro made three saves and recorded her third clean sheet of the season. She now has 19 in her career.</li></ul><ul><li>The Explorer team travels to Chicago to play Loyola Chicago Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m., and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.</li></ul></div></body>
