<div>A busy stretch for the Lester Prairie volleyball team was an exciting one. The Bulldogs put together some impressive wins as they are finding their groove down the home stretch of the regular season.Sibley East 3, G-F-W 1 GIBBON – The Bulldogs are a team that features a good amount of weapons. That was on display for Lester Prairie in their matchup with Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop as everybody got in on the action as they picked up an impressive 3-1 (25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 25-15) win on the road Sept. 19.A balanced attack was the key for the Bulldogs in the win as four players had seven or more kills. Sophia Shackelton had a big game to lead the charge finishing with 11 kills and 15 digs. Ava LaMott added a team-high 15 kills and eight blocks while Olivia Radtke finished with eight kills and Austin Walstrom chipped in seven kills.The Bulldogs were also locked in defensively in the victory. LaMott added eight digs while Schrupp finished with nine digs. Radtke added three blocks while LaMott and Walstrom had one block apiece as well.With the win, Lester Prairie improved to 2-2 in the Tomahawk Conference.Sibley East TournamentARLINGTON – Coming off an impressive win on the road over G-F-W, the Bulldogs were right back to work taking part in the Sibley East Tournament. In four matches, Lester Prairie finished with a 2-2 record picking up wins over Sibley East and Dassel-Cokato and falling to Renville County West and Tracy-Milroy Balaton.The highlight of the tournament for the Bulldogs came in their matchup with Sibley East. After two tight sets to start the match, Lester Prairie found a way to come out on top. Lester Prairie 3, Mankato Loyola 2LESTER PRAIRIE – In their sixth match in five days, the Bulldogs looked like they were on their way to an easy win. That wasn’t the case though. Despite leading 2-0 in their matchup with Mankato Loyola, Lester Prairie needed a fifth set to close things out as they held on for a 3-2 (25-18, 25-17, 20-25, 19-25, 16-14) win over the Crusaders Monday.Despite letting a 2-0 lead slip away, the Bulldogs battled back for a thrilling win in set five to avoid the letdown.LaMott and Walstrom each had big games for Lester Prairie finishing with 16 kills apiece. Shackelton and Radtke each added eight kills while LaMott also served up six aces.</div>
