This area has quickly become one of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods. Aerial images from the 1950s show the area once dotted with modest, freestanding homes. But since its rezoning in 2004 as part of Austin’s central business district, Rainey Street has transformed into a hub of modern development.</p><p>Developed by High Street Residential, construction on 700 River topped off in March 2024.
