<div>The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the conviction of a Montgomery County man last Friday.Henry Joiner, 62, of Montgomery's was convicted of murder in the Montgomery County Circuit Court on Nov. 10, 2022. Evidence from the trial showed that on May 29, 2020, Joiner drove to the Destiny Inn in Montgomery, where the victim Louis Miles lived, and assaulted him. He then shot Miles several times and left the scene.Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey’s office prosecuted Joiner and obtained a guilty verdict. Joiner was sentenced to 99-years imprisonment but appealed to have his conviction reversed.
