<body><div><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=1sILZb_0vlPXR9k00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1sILZb_0vlPXR9k00" width="1320" height="743" >LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Lunden Roberts became a household name when she took on one of America's most powerful political families, suing Hunter Biden in a paternity case that turned the nation's spotlight on them.Now she's telling her own story in a new book called "Out of the Shadows".She recently sat down at her family's business in Batesville to discuss how this isn’t a book written to bash Hunter Biden.Rather, it's the story of a single mother whose situation was in the spotlight.She hopes this story can reach others in similar situations to give them strength - and more importantly, for Navy, her daughter, so that she can know her mother’s side of the story.According to her newly released book, the story of Lunden Roberts and Hunter Biden begins at a party where he was under the influence of drugs.Being in the spotlight for some time, and referring to himself as the "black sheep" of the family, Biden struggled with addiction.However, Roberts says there was more to Hunter Biden than just drugs - a kind person with a giving heart.“William Shakespeare says the eyes or the windows to the soul. In that moment, it had never been more true to me, I just connected with that. there was so much about him, so much hurt. He was so much more complex than what was on the outside. He seemed very genuine and very sincere. With all the paraphernalia on the desk that you see, you wouldn’t think that this man would be able to hold a conversation with you. But he was very intellectual.”According to Roberts, Biden’s battle with addiction was his and his alone. Biden would tell her that no one could make him quit but himself.“I think that if I would’ve tried to help, it wouldn’t have helped. Because, you know, it was something that he owned. At one point, when I find out I’m pregnant, I think that he’ll turn the page and he’ll do what’s right. But this demon had his claws sunk in him so deep that he couldn’t and he didn’t.”Regardless of their close relationship, Roberts didn’t know what to expect from the political side of Hunter Biden when she revealed the news that she was pregnant.She also mentions peculiar events happening around this time as well, such as her two phones completely shut down at the same time. When she tried transferred the information to another new phone, she realizes none of her pictures with Biden were there.“I said Hunter there’s something I need to talk to you about. And he said okay yeah I know what is it? So, I tell him, I said well I’m pregnant. And he’s got Theo shocked look on his face and there’s nothing. And I’m like, you’re the dad, but I’ll let you process that. He snaps out of it and he’s like Honey I know I’m the father, why would you even say that? I’m here for you, I’ll respect whatever decision you make as a woman. I’ll be here for you financially, spiritually, emotionally, whatever I can do. In that moment, I felt like we could do this. I felt like we could co-parent a child and he’ll be supportive and that this would all work itself out.”Based on Biden's initial support, Roberts takes the next steps to share this experience with him.“Said that he was supportive, you know, I scheduled an ultrasound in Annapolis that he could come to. It would be the first time we would hear our babies heartbeat. And I go to that ultrasound and I listen to that heartbeat alone because he didn’t show up. And it kind of registered then at that point, he’s not going to show up. I blamed it on his addiction, you know, he’s not in a place. It brought me to a really low place in my life throughout my pregnancy, it was probably the lowest place I could imagine.”Following multiple avoidant interactions with Biden, Roberts returns to Arkansas with her family. It’s in this moment that she understands she no longer has to justify Biden's behavior. Instead, her focus shifts to protect someone else - her daughter, Navy.“And then you have a child and you become a mother, and you realize you’re protecting the wrong person. And someday, this little girl is going to grow up, and she’s going to ask who her father is. I want her to know that I gave them every opportunity to stand up and do what’s right for her and her life. At the end of the day, she’ll know who fought for her, who raised her, and who’s been there from the very beginning, and who always will be. That’s the whole purpose of this book. I want her to know that her mother stood ten toes down and fought every battle for her and wrote this book for her, so she could know her mother’s story.”Robert’s says she only wants the same relationship she has with her father, for her daughter.“I’ve had a very influential father in my life, and I would hope that my daughter could have that too. I saw the good in him, I fell in love with that, and I know that that’s in him. I wanted him to be that good father that I knew he could be to our daughter.”Roberts says the release of her book has caused all communications to come to an abrupt halt between Navy and Biden.The father and daughter used to have zoom calls, but have yet to meet in person.Roberts hope that her daughter can one day have a relationship with her father, one that she deserves.</div></body>
