Micah Reveals to Dak Injury Update

    By Mike Fisher,

It's too early to know if Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons' self-diagnosis will come true. But he is certainly feeling optimistic on Thursday night after his team returned to its winning ways with a 20-15 victory at the New York Giants, a success that snaps a two-game losing streak but keeps alive an amazing run of success over the G-Men.

The Cowboys have now won 14 of their last 15 games against this NFC East rival ... though this one came with some headaches ... and some other woes that may linger.

Both pass-rushers, Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, exited this game with injuries. The late-game injury to star Parsons has the team holding its breath as he was taken off on the medical cart.

But in the postgame locker room, he was apparently overheard telling teammate Dak Prescott, "I'll be good.''

And Parsons, who moved through the locker room with a limp, said X-rays on his left foot and ankle performed at the stadium were negative and that he will get an MRI Friday.

The Cowboys do now have a 10-day break before they play again, also on the road at the now-undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. So maybe Micah, who it seems has an ankle issue, will turn out to be right.

Lawrence, who seemed to have injured a foot, also talked in the MetLife Stadium visitor's locker room about his plan for a rapid return.

In this outing, the beleaguered Dallas run defense allowed just 26 yards on 24 carries - a crazy 1.1 yards per carry. And the defense as a whole survived in the final seconds with a Hail Mary interception, giving the Cowboys (2-2) a much-needed victory as they look ahead to their next game. ... and some time off to heal.
