Haunted Hydro is bringing its long-running horror experience back for a 35th year to the delight of thrill seekers looking for a terrifying outing. Located in Fremont and opened in 1989, Haunted Hydro is unique in that it utilizes a former operational hydroelectric plant where “the legacy continues but new nightmares begin” as they commemorate this anniversary. The plant was built and began operating in 1911 and was in use until 1943, making the now haunted attraction one of the most unique in the United States and potentially the only of its kind in a former hydroelectric power plant.
