Year-to-date, the city has seen a total increase of $116,639 or 2.2421%.Figures released by Baxter County Treasurer Jenay Mize show Baxter County’s revenue portion equals $560,046. This time last year, Baxter County received $534,605 which is a increase of $25,440 or 4.8%.Sales tax reports are released by the state Department of Finance and Administration two months after the taxes are collected by area businesses. The following numbers were received in September, which reflect area spending from the month of July.Mountain Home received $302,960 in county sales tax. When compared to last year’s total of $289,198, which is a increase of 4.7588%. The year-to-date increase equals $68,718 or 2.2428%.Other Baxter County cities receiving revenue from the county’s sales tax include:– Gassville, which received $51,284;– Cotter, which received $20,929;– Lakeview, which received $18,307;– Salesville, which received $11,173;– Norfork, which received $10,984;– Briarcliff, which received $5,574; and– Big Flat, which received $2,078.Baxter County received $245,835 in revenue from its 0.25% sales tax for maintenance and operation of the Baxter County Detention Center.Mountain Home received $232,369 from its 0.375% sales tax to support its police and fire departments. At this time last year, the city received $232,120 which is a monthly increase of 0.1071%. The year-to-date increase is nearly $43,752 or 2.2428%.Mountain Home has collected nearly $309,825 for September from the park improvement sales tax, which is $89,541 more than needed for Bond Payment of $220,283 for 2024.Park operation sales tax for July equals $154,912.</div></body>
