Rams Head Group, based in Annapolis, continues operating normally despite the upcoming closure of Rams Head Live in Baltimore, which has been owned and run by AEG since 2015. Rams Head Live will close in November, but the Rams Head Group venues in Annapolis, Crownsville, Stevensville, Glen Burnie, Key West and Hammondsport, NY all remain unaffected, offering live music and dining as usual. Power Plant Live, the owner of the complex in Baltimore, confirmed the Baltimore venue will reopen with enhancements after temporary renovations. So when you hear that rumor–set all your friends straight!In Anne Arundel County, the Department of Health is urging residents to report any contact with a rabid raccoon found on Deep Cove Road, near Central Avenue in Churchton. Rabies, a fatal disease, spreads through animal bites or contact with infected saliva. Residents are advised to ensure their pets are vaccinated, avoid wildlife, and report any unusual animal behavior. If you or your pet came into contact with the raccoon or your pet has unexplained wounds–please contact the health department at 410-222-7254A local St. Mary’s High School student, Ethan Lowe, completed his third successful food drive for The Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center. Over the past three summers, Lowe has organized food drives, collecting 876 pounds of food for the center’s pantry. His efforts support The Light House’s hunger relief programs, which serve individuals and families facing homelessness. Thank you Ethan!Events happening all weekend include the Parole Rotary Books for International Goodwill sale, the Local by Design Back to School Market, and the Annapolis Homeowners Expo at the Byzantium Center.
