After 50 years as an educator, she was presented a cake and a celebration by the SECU.Luisa says she's still got more gas in the tank.<blockquote>The big joke is always, when are you going to retire? And I always say, when it's not fun anymore and I'm still having fun. On the worst day, I can't imagine doing anything else.</blockquote>Over 50 people gathered around the JH Rose cafeteria to celebrate her accomplishment.For Luisa, it isn't about the recognition.<blockquote>I've had whole families. I've even had kids that I taught their parents in this building and that, it just means a lot.</blockquote>It's something she knows she can always look back on fondly, even on the worst days.<blockquote>In the years I've been here, I lost my mom, I lost my dad, I lost my husband, but the Rose Family has always been here, and my students have always been here and that's why I'm here.</blockquote></div></body>
