This is the third year Greenfield is funding open space, recreation, historic and housing projects through the Community Preservation Act, CPA, and the Committee will have $213,000 to disperse, including $20,000 from a recently canceled project from a previous year that was completed without the use of CPA funds.</p><p>At Thursday’s CPC meeting, they met with applicants to discuss the pre-applications and their eligibility standing. At least one project was determined to not be eligible for CPA funding. The replacement of playground equipment, specifically a swingset, at Oak Courts was deemed ineligible, despite Northampton CPC approving a similar project, as the land the playground is on is not eligible for a recreation project by CPA standards. </p><p>The CPC members were able to review all fourteen applications in just over an hour, making considerable progress in efficiency after three rounds of CPA funding.
