The annual collection of autumn leaves is scheduled to begin October 7th in Sheboygan. The efforts will follow the same plan that’s been in place for several years, with the City divided into collection zones in order to accommodate the vast amounts that will be raked into the curbs and gutters. The city’s Department of Public Works said that the collection will run for seven weeks, concluding on Friday, November 22nd. The operation is an exception to the usual rule that prohibits placing anything in the gutters, and if snow, ice or freezing rain should fall the collection would be suspended.
